Frequently Asked Questions
All you need to know about the SANAD program, individual support tracks, data privacy, and campus booth logistics.
Still have questions?
Visit our SANAD booth in the BUC Main Plaza for face-to-face support, or call our official helpline.
No, SANAD is a preventative support platform. We provide cognitive behavioral capsules and guided self-help for character development and mental wellness. We are not a replacement for clinical psychotherapy or psychiatric intervention.
The Golden Path is a personalized recommendations profile generated dynamically based on your Character Compass assessment scores. It recommends specific capsules (e.g. Self-Regulation, Emotional Control, Social Communication) tailored to your immediate developmental needs.
Yes, absolutely. While the system suggests a guided pathway based on your results, you are always free to explore and launch any capsule or track manually from the Library.
Each capsule contains 3 progressive stages: Awareness (understanding the concept), Action (exercises and daily challenges), and Reflection (journaling your progress). Completing these stages unlocks your digital badge and updates your SANAD Passport.
Our philosophy is that we never name people by their struggles, but by the positive strength they are building. Instead of focusing on anxiety, we build 'Inner Calm'; instead of confusion, we build 'Mental Clarity'. This removes the stigma around mental wellness and focuses on positive self-growth.
The content is divided into three main sections: 1. Character Development (9 behavioral tracks like Honesty and Self-Control), 2. Mental Wellness (9 tracks supporting emotions like Resilience and Inner Calm), and 3. Clinical Awareness (6 conditions for awareness and referral only, like OCD and ADHD, without any treatment or diagnosis on the platform).
To fully personalize your experience; selecting your gender drives the visual theme of the site (blue theme for males, pink theme for females) and tailors the wording, prompts, and Arabic grammatical addressing to be direct, personal, and comfortable.
Yes, absolutely. We enforce strict clinical-grade confidentiality. Your assessment scores, profile answers, and session details are stored securely and only accessible to BUC clinical consultants supervising your path. They are never shared with academic departments or administrative offices.
Yes. You can request a complete data wipe of your history and active tracks at any time by contacting our support team or visiting the campus booth.
To track your progress and receive your digital passport, we register accounts via your official BUC student credentials. However, all counseling sessions remain fully confidential, anonymous to outside parties, and separate from academic records.
It is an independent body within the initiative that ensures the strict enforcement of the Code of Conduct and protects student privacy. It handles complaints in absolute confidentiality and prevents any boundary breaches, abuse of authority, or privacy violations of field sessions by any volunteer.
At the booth, you can meet with a peer clinical advisor in a private setting. They will help you review your assessment results, explain your Golden Path, hand out printed tracking materials, and provide a warm referral to professional staff if needed.
Our booth is manned by trained senior psychology/clinical students from Badr University, operating under the direct supervision of certified psychiatric faculty members and university clinical consultants.
No, all SANAD services, materials, assessments, and face-to-face booth support are 100% free and open to all BUC students. No formal pre-registration is needed—just drop by during operating hours.
If your assessment scores indicate high distress levels (categorized as Band 4), the platform automatically activates the clinical fallback rule. It halts self-help recommendations and displays a warm referral screen, directing you to speak directly with BUC's professional counseling staff for immediate support.
Upon visiting the booth, you can receive a physical, printed blister pack representing your track, containing pop-out cards for each behavioral capsule. Each card has a QR code on the back that, when scanned with your phone, takes you directly to the corresponding digital stage in the app to track your digital progress.
The booth operates on a three-layer model: 1. SANAD volunteers for reception, initial support, and physical material distribution, 2. Clinical consultants (social worker, psychologist, and psychiatrist) for scheduled individual sessions, and 3. Warm referral to the official BUC Psychological Support Unit for cases requiring specialized clinical treatment.
Our Code of Conduct mandates a sacred rule for non-qualified volunteers: 'Listen, Support, and Refer only.' No volunteer is allowed to conduct clinical examinations, diagnose conditions, or prescribe treatment plans, ensuring the highest standards of safety and confidentiality for students.
